If you’ve read my previous content on Growth, you may remember when I shared an article on the differences between Growth in the UK and the US.
To summarise, the UK version of Growth focuses specifically on Marketing: Full-funnel, the pirate metrics (AARRR). In contrast, the US version of Growth is about accelerating digital Growth through marketing but includes product and engineering.
And it’s this US version of Growth that I’m pleased to be exclusively supporting this innovative HealthTech scale-up with as they look to hire a Director of Growth. As they are a remote-first business, you can be located across the UK, EU, and even the east coast of the USA.
They began life 4.5 years ago, however only launched 12-18 months ago and have already amassed £70m in investment, including one of the largest crowdfunds, 100k customers (with 300k on the waitlist) and over 300 staff, which will be close to 400 by the end of the year!
As Director of Growth, you will be tasked with improving weekly active users through product-led Growth, looking at conversion rates, and instigating quick experimentation through the support of squads. This will come with a broad remit covering acquisition with a retention element, looking at win-backs, referrals etc.
You will have a strong background in managing squads for rapid experimentation. This will include engineers, designers, marketing, analytics etc.
You’ll also have worked for a business where you’ve been responsible for acquiring many users. Ideally within the DTC or Subscription space, but more important than that, a business with complex and innovative products.
Without question, you will be well-versed in marketing, analytics and product.
Lastly, you will have a tolerance for high risk. Yes, you’re a creative thinker who asks for forgiveness instead of permission.
