This brand is on a mission to change the way the shoe industry makes footwear. The human foot is a biomechanical masterpiece; when left to its own devices, it can cope with everything from walking and running to jumping and dancing, but by cramming it into a modern shoe, you negate its natural function. Their sustainable, minimalist shoes are like being barefoot; they promote natural strength and movement and allow you to feel the ground beneath your feet.


They’re seeking a convention-busting Head of Performance Marketing to redefine the brands digital marketing strategy and bring their message to the world in a progressive, healthy way. They’ve watched algorithms change and competition increase – causing negative strain on consumers and positive lining on the bank accounts of advertising platforms. Enough is enough.


The digital marketing industry is optimizing to a point of sub-optimization. The fundamental flaws that exist in the traditional measurement need to be addressed head-on and conventional metrics like ROAS need to be challenged.


As Head of Performance Marketing, you will be responsible for a team of 3 as well as managing relationships with external agencies. You will own and allocate a digital budget c. £3m, ensuring the commercial, brand, and strategic KPIs are delivered.



Responsibilities will include:


= Work with Marketing and Commercial directors as well as external agencies to define the brands Healthy Digital Strategy.


= Manage performance marketing budget, set channel-wise and overall targets, and allocate spend effectively to meet trade and strategic objectives


= Set clear objectives and KPIs for the digital marketing team that align the overarching business strategy and that facilitate the short- and long-term goals of the business.


= Help develop digital tech stack in cooperation with IT and digital development teams


= Work closely and knowledge share with the brand marketing team to ensure best practice across creative and performance objectives to deliver the most effective marketing to customers.


= Work closely with the commercial team to support trade objectives across channels, primarily e-commerce but also expected to drive growth and inform strategy across marketplaces and retail


= Take a strong analytical approach to create a culture of large-scale test and learn in order to create and maintain a best in class approach.


= Review current agency and partner configuration to deliver on the brands Healthy Digital Strategy.




Your background will include:


= Proven record in digital marketing strategy creation and managing multiple digital channels, including SEO, PPC, programmatic, affiliates, and paid social


= Extensive experience in analytics and measurement, experience developing attribution and econometric models an asset


= Strong grasp of the digital marketing landscape and managing agencies across various disciplines.


= Prior management of comparable spend budgets


= Ability to manage a team effectively, good budget management, good project management.


= Extensive cross-functional stakeholder management experience, leadership experience and or working in matrixed organisations


= Experience working across or managing performance in international markets, especially the USA and Scandinavia


= Experience working in a multichannel environment, and understanding of digital marketing activation in third party marketplaces ( eg. Amazon) and physical retail

Package includes:
